There were literally hurricane type rains as soon as the ceremony began, but Stephanie and Stephen kept their cool at their Oregon Golf Club wedding this past summer and knew the only important thing that day was their nuptials and … Continue reading
Yipeee! I’m super-duper-califragilisticexpialidocious to announce that I have a Real Wedding Feature in the newest issue (Winter/Spring 2014) of Portland Bride & Groom. Gretchen + Mike’s super rad, industrial wedding graces three glorious pages of the magazine and I couldn’t be more thrilled or honored! The entire issue is quite stunning so if you haven’t gone out and bought it yet, hurry! It just hit stands yesterday and is chock-full of dramatic gowns, delicious cakes, stunning florals, and more!
Here’s an overview of my feature, but to see it and the rest of the magazine in it’s fully glory hit up one of these places.
Big thanks to Ben Pigao for bringing me along on this absolutely gorgeous wedding!
They fell in love at 16 years old and have been inseparable since.
Max & Anna were married last month in a classy and glamorous fashion at The Benson Hotel. They stuck to a color scheme of black and white with pops of gold and blush pink. The whole affair was very chic and beautiful, perfectly complimenting who they are as a couple and the love of their friends and family.
Melissa and Drew’s wedding was the epitome of classic, preppy, chic! They are such a warm, loving, and timeless couple with million dollars smiles that were shining all day!
BIG thanks to Ben Pigao for bringing me along on this wedding and always being so fun to work with.
Krista and Martin are an amazingly loving and sweet couple. Their friends and family mean everything to them and because of this they decided to have a very intimate ceremony complete with a touching ring warming and then celebrate with a big, laid back party including all their favorite people.
Normally, you choose to have your wedding in Bend instead of Portland because you have a much less likely chance of it raining out there. However, that wasn’t the case for Krista and Martin. The day started with beautiful blue skies and right before dinner was served the clouds joined together and began to pour down rain on everyone. Most people huddled by the bar or headed inside the barn to eat before the dance party begun, but a select few of “Portland” kids remained outside. Toasting, laughing, and enjoying the nice summer rain and celebrating the love and commitment their friends had just made.
Plus, Krista and Martin mixed their two last names to create one new last name totally and completely unique to them. How cool is that?! That seriously shows the great compromise, love, and equality that will no doubt carry their marriage to amazing places<3
I almost 98.6% of the time gravitate towards color images. It’s just what I generally prefer, but with Myriah and Rob there was something about the black and whites. They’re such a timeless, classic, and wonderful couple and their wedding was so emotion filled and beautiful that the black and whites just felt right.
They were married last week at Lucy’s Garden in Ridgefield, Washington and the day was absolutely gorgeous. The weather was perfect, the flowers were in bloom, Myriah had her DIY details scattered throughout the entire property it felt like an Easter Egg hunt each time you found a little something else and Myriah and Rob were as happy and awesome as can be. They are seriously one of the most amazing couples. Rob is so relaxed, go with he flow, and not afraid or ashamed of showing some emotion! Myriah has this huge personality that makes you feel warm as soon as you meet her. Not to mention I’m pretty sure she’s the only bride in the world who will trip backwards over her train, fall straight on her butt, and laugh and talk about how epic and amazing it was! Together they’re a power couple making each other laugh, dancing the night away, and even playing football. Plus, you gotta love a good ole’ fashion cake face smash!
