One Frame: Trevor + Kristin

I photographed this wedding last year with You Look Nice Today Photography.
I’m going to be blogging it this weekend, but for now I just wanted to share one frame.

Taking those last few breaths before you walk down the aisle.
Before you begin the next chapter of your life, and the most
amazing adventure begins<3

Bella Via Wedding: J’aime and Mark

This past winter I had the pleasure of assisting an awesome photographer from Florida on a wedding at Bella Via in Sherwood, OR. It was cold, grey, and rainy outside. Definitely the complete opposite of Florida, but J’aime, Mark, and their friends and family didn’t let that stop them from having an awesome time!

WPPI Head Shots: Sonia Bourdon

It has officially come to and end!
Honestly, I’m a little sad, but super relieved! I have never blogged every single day and this was FOR REAL a test for me! Luckily, I made it through! I got every person I photographed blogged and I feel super accomplished.

In case you missed the beginning of this series, let me bring you up to date! While at WPPI Last week me and my home girl Michelle (Who is an AMAZING NYC photographer) did 10 minute speed head shots for photographers who were guilty of something we all fall victim to from time to time, not getting photos taken of ourselves! I got to photograph 9 amazing people who I’m so happy to say became my friends.

You can check out their posts and head shots here:
1//Jen Araya
2//Jennifer Gardner
3//Cat Dossett
4//David Sno
5//Ning Wong
6//Teresa O’Brien Nguyen
7//Jim Harris
8//Natasha Williams

I loved every single person I photographed. They were beautiful, warm, inviting, and all opened up for me for 10 minutes. They listened to direction and laughed at all my corny jokes. It was seriously the best way to spend 2 hours.

Now, onto the absolutely GORGEOUS Sonia. I feel like I should put a disclaimer here:
**WARNING: HER EYES MAY KNOCK YOU DEAD**
The lighting was soft and perfect, I was a little more comfortable and confident because I had just photographed 8 people back to back, her outfit was simple & beautiful, and the wind softly blew her curly blonde hair. It was just an all around magical 10 minutes and the perfect way to end my sessions<3

WPPI Head Shots: Natasha Williams

Time for person #8 from my WPPI Head Shot Series: Natasha has a soft southern accent that immediately melted my heart. I miss the south quite often so getting to hang out with her for 10 minutes was a one of the best parts of my day!

Natasha is a photographer from Atlanta and is just the sweetest person you could imagine. She has a soft smile, but a big laugh that causes her cheeks fill up with life. She literally has a glow about her and that’s the sort of thing can’t be added in post production<3

Sneak Peek

WPPI Head Shots: Jim Harris

We’re getting to the end of our head shot series (only 2 more people!) and honestly it’s weird to think that WPPI was already a week ago! Is it weird that I’m already counting down the days to next year’s?

Today’s 10 minute Vegas Head Shot is Jim Harris of Jim Harris Photography. Jim is confident, poised, and put all of my jokes to the TEST. I really felt like I was a stand up comedian and trust me guys, I was DYING up there waiting for someone to pull me off stage with one of those big hooks. On my behalf, I had photographed 6 people immediately before him. I was running a bit dry and drawing blanks, but Jim apparently thought my desperate need to be funny was humorous enough and luckily he’s a super nice guy who gave me a smile anyway! [=

WPPI Head Shots: Teresa O’Brien Nguyen

My next installment of the 10 minute WPPI Head Shot series features Teresa O’Brien Nguyen of Teresa O’Brien Photography!

Teresa has a smile that is literally contagious and the most AMAZING hair! (All natural, believe it or not)
She can bust out dance moves that would make MC Hammer jealous and has style that puts gap models to shame. I really don’t think I could have had a more fun time with Teresa than we did. She has such a huge personality and an even bigger smile, but I don’t need to tell you that. All you need to do is look at the photos and you’ll see for yourself<3

WPPI Head Shots: David Sno + Ning Wong

Installment #4 and #5 of my WPPI Head Shots series is a little more special haha! Ning and David are what you can call “business husbands”, I guess. Ning is the lead photographer of Ning Wong Studios and David of his company David Sno Photography
I spent most of my WPPI trip hanging out with the both of them and honestly I don’t think I could have made a better decision that whole time there. First of all, not only are they both practically SUPA stars and know everyone and all the cool/exclusive rooftop terrace parties, but they’re also amazing guys who are always joking, laughing, and just all around having a good time.

It only made sense that I did their blog posts together since they basically did their shoot together! We took some head shots of each of them and then of course we had to get some funny ones! I love the photos and think they definitely represent the awesome people they both are and the amazing dynamic they have when together.

WPPI Head Shots: Cat Dossett

Cat showed up for her 10 minute head shot session and:
a. was in a mint jacket
b. told me she was from Portland
and
c. told me she was an 80s lover and her hair was a “big deal”

REALLY, could we be any more in-sync?! Seriously!!!
Cat is a photographer based out of Eugene, Oregon and she is really all that! She’s super warm and makes you feel like you’ve been friends a lifetime. I have no doubt that I will be seeing her again! Here are a couple of photos from our oh too brief 10 minutes together [=

WPPI Head Shots: Jennifer Gardner

It’s time for another post from my Head Shot Sessions at WPPI! This 10 minute session was right after my first session with Jen Araya. Jennifer Gardner is an awesome photographer based out of Portland/Vancouver (which was totally awesome when I found out!) She is so sweet, super laid back, and I’m hoping loves her photos!

Check my FACEBOOK tomorrow evening to see a sneak peek of who I photographed after Jen: Cat Dossett
